MONCKS CORNER, S.C. –Thursday evening, the body of 54-year-old Derwin Alzonzo President of Zion Road in Cross.
The Berkeley County Rescue Squad along with DNR and the Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office spent several hours looking for President before finding his body in a ditch not too far from his home.
Authorities say that although there does not appear to be signs of foul play, an autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause of death.
President, who also goes by the name “Jimmy,” did suffer from several medical conditions, county officials stated.
After not hearing from her father in two days, authorities say President’s daughter first reported him missing on April 22nd.
He was last seen alive in the area of the Cross Food Mart located at 1883 Old Highway 6 in Cross.
