GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–According to the Goose Creek Police Department, an officer recently met with a victim who stated that last month he left his debit card at Vespa Pizzaria on Daniel Island by mistake–and it ended up costing him more than just pizza.
The victim told officers that when he returned to the restaurant the following day to get his card back, he learned that a charge in the amount of $504.94 at Walmart along with several overdrafts had been made.
The victim stated that he talked with the management at Vespa Pizzaria; however, they reportedly did not provide any “useful information.”
The victim told officers that he then reached out to his bank and filed a fraudulent activity report and notified officers that he intends to press charges.
Currently, the Goose Creek Police Department needs help identifying the individual seen
