BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–In October 2014 The Bradley Blake Foundation submitted several bills to Representative Joe Jefferson.
He introduced these bills in Columbia for us. As of today, one of these bills passed, DECLARING THE MONTH OF JUNE 2015 “GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH”
Gun Violence Awareness Month was created in an effort to raise awareness surrounding the issue of needless and senseless gun violence in South Carolina’s communities.
The focus of this effort is to lead a bilateral charge to concentrate annual heightened attention to gun violence and gun safety during the month of June.
This bill is the first of its kind in the state of South Carolina. We made history!
Please help us raised awareness in the month of June.
We are asking our supporters to post our flyer on their Facebook page and to take a few minutes and speak to others about gun violence and the terrible everlasting effect left on families and friends.
The proclamation was presented at the 2nd Annual Commemoration Ball held on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
