BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday, multiple fire departments in Berkeley County quickly responded to a mobile home fire on Jamesleslie Lane in Moncks Corner.
Dispatch advised firefighters heading to the scene that at least one person was reportedly trapped inside the trailer.
Once on scene, firefighters say they found a single wide mobile home with heavy smoke and fire showing.
According to firefighters, neighbors were already on scene attempting to notify the homeowner still inside the burning trailer.
Firefighters quickly entered the home and located the homeowner and took that person to safety.
Berkeley County EMS transported then transported the individual to a nearby hospital.
Pine Ridge, Whitesville Rural and Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department responded to Sunday’s fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
