WHO & WHAT: Berkeley County School District will host a community drop-in for community members and parents of children who live in the Cainhoy and Daniel Island areas.
WHEN & WHERE: The drop-in will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the Keith School Museum (1509 Clements Ferry Road, Charleston) beginning at 6 p.m. Because of limited space in the facility, presentations are scheduled for 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
MORE INFORMATION: During the drop-in, parents and members of the Cainhoy and Daniel Island communities will have the opportunity to hear from LS3P Associates, the architecture firm tasked with creating the design for the new Philip Simmons Elementary/Middle School. LS3P representatives will give updates about the project, explain what to expect during the next several months and answer any questions parents and members of the community may have.
The 172,000 square foot Philip Simmons Elementary/Middle School will house Kindergarten through 8th grade students and is scheduled to be completed in August of 2016.
