BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County deputies say they are on the lookout for a 26-year-old man who shot his stepfather with a shotgun Tuesday night.
The shooting reportedly took place at a home on Pooh Lane in the Sheep Island section of Summerville.
Arrest warrants have been obtained charging Pryor with attempted murder and firearms-related charges.
According to Berkeley County Spokesperson Michael Mule’, authorities are actively looking for Lakendrick Dante Pryor.
Deputies say he’s responsible for shooting his 47-year-old stepfather who received injuries to both of his legs and right wrist.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Mule’ say he is listed in stable condition.
Witnesses claim that before the shooting, Pryor and his stepfather got into a verbal argument at the house the two share. They told authorities that the two began to physically fight but then stopped.
According to those who saw the encounter unfold, Pryor eventually returned to the scene and opened fire on his stepfather before fleeing the area.
