BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A Goose Creek man faced a judge in bond court Monday night after deputies say he sent another man to the hospital after assaulting him.
Ferrell Crocket, 30, has been charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
A judge set his bond at more than $98,000.
According to an incident report, on Sunday deputies responded to the 100 block of Plainfield Avenue of Goose Creek at approximately 4:30 a.m. where they found a man unconscious and suffering from multiple facial and skull fractures.
The alleged victim was reportedly helping a friend move when witnesses say a group of men at the house got into a heated argument that turned physical.
The 22-year-old victim is currently in intensive care recovering from his injuries which include multiple facial and skull fractures.
According to Berkeley County Spokesperson Michael Mule, witnesses say they say the group of men stomping and beating the man.
More arrests are expected in this case.
