Red Cross Assists Three Adults Displaced By Apartment Fire In Pineville

PINEVILLE, S.C.–The American Red Cross assisted three adults each of whose Pineville apartments, located on Willowood Lane, sustained minor fire damage in conjunction with the major fire damage sustained by a local tavern early evening hours of Thursday.

The Pineville Fire Department responded to the blaze.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food and lodging.

In South Carolina, the American Red Cross, on average, responds to a disaster every four hours.

Because of volunteers and financial assistance from the community, the Red Cross was able to help more than 7,000 individuals affected by disasters, the majority of those being home fires, in S.C. last year.
