Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office: 4 More Arrested In Drive-By Shooting

shooting suspects MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced the arrests of four additional suspects involved in a July 24th shooting incident on Nelson Ferry Road in the Moncks Corner area of Berkeley County.

Sheriff Lewis announced the arrest of 21-year-old Raekwon Andrew Tucker of North Charleston, 20-year-old Montrai Tyrece Bonneau-Gaillard of North Charleston, 21-year-old Shyheim Raekwon Lewis of North Charleston and a 16-year-old juvenile.

All are being charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.  The 16 year old will be charged as an adult.  19-year-old Jamez Kelly was previously arrested on July 29th and charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Additionally, the individual responsible for hosting the party on the night of the shooting, 35-year-old Tangala L. Baker of the Moncks Corner area of Berkeley County, has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, due to the unlawful activities that she was permitting at the party location.

Berkeley County Sheriff’s detectives confirmed that all of the individuals involved in the shooting had previously been at the party at Baker’s house, just prior to the shooting incident.

Sheriff Duane Lewis acknowledged the team effort in making the in expeditious arrests of the suspects involved in this shooting and bringing the case to a successful close. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Task Force and the North Charleston Police Department worked with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Lewis stated, “I hope that our efforts will help bring closure to the victims and their families by knowing those responsible have been brought to justice.  I have zero tolerance for these types of criminals and their blatant disregard for the law and safety of our citizens in Berkeley County.”
