BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Six Berkeley County businesses were recognized as Best Places to Work in South Carolina at a dinner last week presented by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and SC Biz News.
Total Quality Logistics, a logistics provider on Daniel Island, was named the SC Best Place to Work for large companies. Also on the large companies list were Daniel Island-based technology firms Sparc (6th), Blackbaud (18th), and Benefitfocus (24th).
Summerville-based SCRA ranked 10th on the small company list of SC Best Places to Work. Also on the small company list was Daniel Island-based Energy One America (26th).
The rankings were based on information captured about company policies, practices and demographics, as well as employee surveys on leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationships with supervisors, training, development and resources, pay and benefits, and overall engagement.
Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler expressed his excitement on the news by saying:
“Berkeley County is blessed to have some of the greatest businesses and people in not only the state but also the nation. Berkeley County government is committed to assisting Total Quality Logistics, Sparc, Blackbaud, Benefitfocus, SCRA, Energy One America, and other local businesses in any way we can to ensure job creation opportunities exist for many years to come. On behalf of all Berkeley County residents, I offer heartfelt congratulations on these most deserving recognitions.”
