MONCKS CORNER, SC – Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced the arrest of 38-year-old Gene Michael Geisler of Mapleridge Drive in the Goose Creek area of Berkeley County on pending charges by the Alaska State Troopers for possessing and distributing child pornography.
“I am glad that our deputies were able to arrest this wanted fugitive. I have no tolerance for people preying on our community’s most vulnerable,” Sheriff Lewis.
Geisler is wanted by the Alaska State Troopers and is charged with 58 counts of possessing child pornography and 11 counts of distributing child pornography.
An Anchorage grand jury indicted Geisler on a total of 76 counts of possessing and distributing child pornography.
According to KYUK in Bethel, Alaska – Geisler is charged with possessing two million images and 13,000 videos, amounting to 29 terabytes of child pornography.
Berkeley County Sheriff Office made the arrest early this morning.
Alaska State Troopers have requested Geisler’s extradition to Alaska.
