BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Rescue Squad chief and coroner, Bill Salisbury–crews have recovered the body of a commercial crabber missing since Monday.
His identity hasn’t been released at this time.
The Berkeley County Rescue Squad and SCDNR spent the last several days searching for the man.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday, squad members were dispatched to the area of Bushy Park Boat Landing in Goose Creek for a missing boater.
While searching the Cooper River, first responders located the man’s boat.
The boat was still running; however, the boater was no where to be found, according to first responders on scene.
The Pimlico Fire Department is also assisting with the search.
The boater is said to be from North Charleston.
