ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–According to district officials, Timberland High School was evacuated at approximately 11:30 this morning due to a reported bomb threat.
Law enforcement officials and the fire department were on the scene investigating the threat and inspecting the building.
The building was cleared by law enforcement officials and the fire department shortly after, authorities added.
Students, faculty and staff re-entered the building at approximately 12:20 p.m, BCSD Spokesperson Aimee Murray stated.
Daniel Island School was on “modified lockdown” earlier this morning, Murray said.
“However after consulting law enforcement officials, the school returned to normal status,” she said. “The school’s administration and staff will remain vigilant.”
