ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–A series of bomb threats at Timberland High School have prompted Crime Stoppers authorities to offer a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for making the bogus calls.
The school has received three bomb threats so far this year.
The first occurred back on the morning of May 21st. Shortly before 10 a.m. that day, students and faculty were evacuated while officers from the Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office and Bonneau Police Department inspected the building.
Authorities say police found no evidence of a bomb and students and faculty re-entered the building approximately twenty minutes later.
Most recently, the high school experienced two additional bomb threats within a four day span. On September 11th, students and faculty were evacuated at approximately 11:30 a.m. due to a reported bomb threat.
Law enforcement officials and the fire department were on the scene investigating the threat but learned once again it was another false alarm.
Students were forced to evacuate the school a third time on September 15th due to a reported bomb threat that turned out to be bogus as well.
Anyone with information about the threats can submit tips anonymously by calling 843-554-1111 or 1-888-CRIME-SC, sending a text starting with CSL to 274637 or on the website at 5541111.com.
