MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Moncks Corner Domino’s, located at 105 Highway 52, and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) are teaming up with the Moncks Corner Fire Department to promote fire safety during Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 4th – 10th).
On Monday, Oct. 5 from 3 – 5 p.m., anyone who orders a Domino’s pizza may be randomly selected and surprised at the door when their pizza arrives aboard a fire engine.
If the smoke alarms in the home are working, the pizza is free. If the smoke alarms are not working, the firefighters will replace the batteries.
“Fire safety is extremely important,” said Kerri Saunders, Moncks Corner Domino’s franchise owner. “We’re very excited to partner with NFPA and the fire department for a program that not only promotes the safety of our friends and neighbors, but rewards those who make fire safety a priority.”
This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign theme is “Hear the Beep Where You Sleep: Every Bedroom Needs a Working Smoke Alarm.”
“Half of all home fire deaths result from fires reported between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., when most people are asleep,” said Moncks Corner City Fire Department Capt. Jeff Young. “That’s why having a fully functioning smoke alarm in every bedroom is so important. Smoke alarms save lives.”
Customers can call Moncks Corner Domino’s at 843-761-3300 to place their order and be eligible for the fire engine delivery.
