BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to BCSD Spokesperson Katie Orvin, Stratford High School was placed on a brief administrative lockdown during first period while we investigated rumors of a student possibly being in possession of a weapon.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Orvin says it was determined that there were no weapons on campus.
Students are safe and the disruption to instruction was very brief.
“The district and authorities take such rumors very seriously as the safety of our students and staff remains our number one priority. We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners and maintain our security measures,” she stated.
