LADSON, S.C. – Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced this evening that three people have been arrested related to a string of residential burglaries in the College Park area of Ladson dating back to August of this year.

Deputies say that most of the burglaries took place at night and were all in close proximity to where the suspects reside.

Joshua Jamone Rogers, 17, of Savannah Road in Ladson has been arrested on 10 counts of 1st Degree Burglary and two weapons offenses. Wesley Malcolm Callum, 19, of Pembroke Street in Ladson has been arrested on 5 counts of 1st Degree Burglary and two weapons offenses. A third subject, a juvenile, has also been charged with 10 counts of burglary.

Berkeley County sheriff detectives were able to recover two firearms, a stolen X-Box, a stolen laptop computer and jewelry.

Authorities say that Berkeley County deputies and detectives worked closely with members of the College Park Community to solve these burglaries.

Announcing the arrests, Sheriff Lewis expressed his appreciation for the public’s help in the investigation. “We are very pleased that the members of the College Park community were willing to come forward with information that helped solve these burglaries,” said Lewis. “Strong relationships between the community and the Sheriff’s Office are extremely important to help keep Berkeley County a safe place to live, work and raise a family.”

Sheriff Lewis also encourages anyone with further information about burglaries in the College Park area to contact Detective Michele Ward at 843-719-4344 or Detective Rikki Corte at 843-719-4574.
