BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, on Saturday at 2 a.m. Jacob Ryan Hull, 22, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling north on 526 near the Don Holt Bridge (Berkeley County) when his vehicle overturned.
The coroner says the impact of the crash forced the young man’s SUV to go over the side of the bridge.
Salisbury said that Hull’s SUV then landed in a marsh.
He was pronounced dead at the scene due to body trauma.
His death was ruled accidental.
He was wearing a seatbelt, Salisbury said.
The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Charleston Police Dept.

Thank you so much for being the first to say the weather didn’t seem like a factor. That’s infuriating and insinuating some other dark cause of the crash. We are all grieving this loss. Jacob was an amazing young man and devoted to god. He impacted so many people. In fact his home town in Exeter, California is also having a memorial service in honor of him. His wings were ready but our hearts weren’t. Love you brother.
Very sorry for your loss. I know it must be hard.
