BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Gen. Francis Marion kept the American Revolution alive after the fall of Charlestown in May 1780 and helped America achieve our Independence from Britain.

Guest speaker is Citadel Professor Scott Buchanan, guest singer is John Mark McQuown, Color Guard is the Washington Light Infantry, William Anderson will play the bagpipe.
Several organizations will present wreaths including General Marion’s Brigade Chapter, NSDAR; Margaret Gregg Gordon Chapter, NSDAR; Marion Marauders Society and Col. Hezekiah Maham Chapter, SCSSAR.
Because this is a Saturday event, school children are especially invited.
