BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has identified suspects in multiple burglaries in the Willowbrook/ Sedgefield neighborhoods in the Goose Creek area and has made several arrests.
Between the dates of 1-25-16 and 2-10-16, Sheriff’s Deputies have responded to several reports of burglaries in the Willowbrook, Sedgefield and Forest Lawn areas within the unincorporated areas of Goose Creek. The reports noted that the burglaries occurred during daytime areas where rear doors and windows had been broken out for the suspect(s) to gain entry into the residences. While inside, the suspect(s) took electronic devices, gaming systems including a Limited Edition X-BOX and other items of value.
During the course of the investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives were able to locate a similar gaming system and verified the serial number, which, fortunately, the victim had recorded. A suspect was positively identified by video surveillance and the assistance of a School Resource Officer. One of the suspects were questioned following the incident and provided detailed information on the burglaries and location of stolen property. A search warrant was executed at the described location and several stolen items were recovered. Sheriff’s Detectives are diligently working additional burglaries in the area with these suspect as well as additional suspects. Arrest have been made on three suspect in connection with the Burglaries; Treyvonne Brown (19), Patrick Thompson (21) and Ladarrius Grant (20).
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to record serial numbers and any identifiers for electronic items as well as other items of value should other incident such as this occur. Those serial number will assist Law Enforcement in properly investigating the case.
