BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–It’s time, once again, to break out your oyster knives and make plans for the 17th annual Shuckin’ in the Park Oyster Roast on Saturday, March 12, at Old Santee Canal Park. The festival runs from 1-6 p.m.
The Shuckin’ in the Park oyster roast will also feature activities for the children, including a jump castle, and live entertainment from Custom 4 and Friends, whose blend of beach music, oldies and popular music has made them a local favorite.
Admission is $3 in advance and $5 at the gate the day of the event. Buckets of oysters are $10 and serving begins at 1 p.m. Advance tickets go on sale Feb. 22 at Old Santee Canal Park, 900 Stony Landing Road, Moncks Corner. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Old Santee Canal Park nestled within the backwaters of Biggin Creek.
Food tickets can be purchased inside the gate. Small coolers are allowed, but PLEASE no pets or golf carts and tickets are NOT redeemable for food.
