BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County School District will host three parent workshops for parents and guardians to learn about annual tests their child will take, why the tests are given, how to interpret their child’s results, and how the results can be used to enhance student learning opportunities.
Below are the dates, times and locations for each workshop.
- Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in the Multipurpose Room at Berkeley Middle School beginning at 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 5, 2016, in the Multipurpose Room at Westview Middle School beginning at 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in the Library at Hanahan High School beginning at 6 p.m.
Each workshop will begin with a general session. Afterward, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to attend the breakout session most relevant to their child, according to the grade level of the child.
The purpose of Parent University is to ensure that parents have information and resources to help their children succeed in and out of school. Berkeley County School District supports the teacher in every parent and seeks to offer workshops, seminars and events that connect parents and guardians with schools in a positive meaningful way.
