MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – State-owned utility Santee Cooper has announced its spring and summer hours for the Pinopolis Lock at the Jefferies Hydroelectric Station on Lake Moultrie.
Effective Monday, April 11, the lock will be operated from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Digital signage at the lock will display the current operating status.
According to Santee Cooper officials, p[lease remember that the lock does not operate during thunderstorms or rough-water conditions.
Occasionally, it is necessary to take the lock out of service for periodic maintenance or repair. If you have a large party of boats you are encouraged to call in advance. The telephone number is 843-899-LOCK (5625).
