BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Rescue Squad is gearing up for its biggest fundraising event of the year.
On April 30th, squad members will host their 23rd annual catfish tournament at the William Dennis Boat Landing in Moncks Corner–which is right across from Gilligan’s.
Early registration is currently underway. The fee to take part in the tournament is $75.
If you wait until the day of the tournament, participants will be charged $90.
Ten cash prizes will be awarded. The person who reels in the biggest catfish will win $1,000.
Even if you choose not to take part in the tournament, make sure you come down and check out all the fun. Squad members will begin weigh ins around 3 p.m. Those are always fun to watch.
There will also be some great raffle prizes to take advantage of, too.
All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Berkeley County Rescue Squad.
