BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–This weekend, Sheriff Duane Lewis and deputies from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the community have an opportunity to come together in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee.
‘Coffee with a Cop’ breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.
The entire community is invited to attend. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. on April 9th, 2016 at the Chic–Fil-A located at 601 U.S. Highway 52 in Moncks Corner.
‘Coffee with a Cop’ provides a unique opportunity for the community
to ask questions and learn more about the Sheriff’s Office work in Berkeley County neighborhoods.
‘Coffee with a Cop’ is a national initiative supported by The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the county, as local police department strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.
