DANIEL ISLAND, S.C.–It wasn’t a tree limb or strong wind that caused a power outage for homeowners on Daniel Island on Wednesday evening.
According SCE&G officials, it was a snake!
The power outage lasted for about about two hours.
A spokesperson for the power company the snake interrupted a circuit, causing the power outage around 8:30 p.m.
Crews began restoring power to thousands of residents shortly after.
The outage impacted 3,500 customers.
Power was finally restored to the island around 10:00 p.m.
