BONNEAU, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, on May 5 at 4:30 p.m. two vehicles collided on Black Oak Road in Bonneau.
Entrapped in one of the vehicles was 18-year-old Katelyn Moore of Bonneau, Salisbury stated.
She was extricated by the local fire department and transported to a local emergency room and was pronounced dead at 5:53 p.m.
Moore was a senior at Timberland High School and would have graduated in several weeks.
Her death has been ruled accidental and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The coroner added that this is the 15th traffic fatality in Berkeley County this year.
