MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Berkeley County has a new, locally-owned pharmacy.
On Monday morning, Berkeley Home Pharmacy celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler and Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis were on hand for the special occasion.
The family-owned business is located on Rembert C. Dennis Boulevard–that’s between the CVS and Little Caesars in Moncks Corner.
“Berkeley Home Pharmacy offers a unique and hard to find small town style of pharmaceutical care,” the website reads. “Our staff is experienced and truly cares about you. Honesty, trust, value, and service are not just words to us.”
With a combined experience of more than 20 years, Ted and Deana Nussbaum own and operate the small-town pharmacy.
“Ted has always believed strongly in helping others and providing the best pharmaceutical care possible. He often dreamed of one day owning his own pharmacy,” stated Deana. “So after 22+ years of working for others in community retail and long-term care, he decided to open his own retail store.  We are very excited to be able to open this business in the town we have lived in for ten years.”
The pharmacy also offers free home delivery to many Berkeley County neighborhoods. For a complete list of those neighborhoods, .
To celebrate the family-owned business, the owners say that from now through May 27th they plan to offer a variety of promotions, as well as drawings for prizes–including a “Summer Care Package” and a television.
