Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Offers Reward In Recent Cane Bay Burglary

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest of the persons responsible for the burglary that happened on Iverson Road, in the Old Rice Community of Cane Bay.

On Thursday, May 19, 2016, deputies say between the times of 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., two individuals seen in thephotos provided, broke into a residence on Old Iverson Road in the Old Rice Retreat community of Cane Bay.

The homeowner’s surveillance video shows a man walking up to the door a few minutes past 11 a.m.

“He had a sales pen like he was a salesperson,” Erin Norris, of Summerville, told Live 5 News. “[He] knocked on the door a couple times. Nobody answered. He looked around, looked right at the camera right here, and then you see him ducking and looking through the window.”

According to the TV station, the video shows the first man leave. However, a second man is caught on camera sneaking around the backyard on a different camera.

“[He] goes to the door, he breaks out the window, doesn’t open the door, but climbs through the window,” Norris stated.

An incident report states that the suspects got away with a silver wedding band, a diamond necklace and earrings.

It is unknown at this time, what, if any type of vehicle was used by the subjects.
