BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–After receiving two German Shepherds a few weeks ago, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office extended the invitation for Berkeley County students throughout the district to submit names for the two dogs.
According to BCSD officials, Berkeley Intermediate and Whitesville Elementary submitted winning names and were treated Wednesday to a visit from the K9s and members of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
AJ, a 2.5 year old German Shepherd, visited with Berkeley Intermediate while Kai, a 14 month old Shepherd entertained students at Whitesville Elementary!
“BCSD is grateful for its relationship with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and looks forward to watching AJ and Kai as they continue to grow, train, and serve the Berkeley community,” the Berkeley County School District stated via social media.
