GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Firefighters do more than respond to house fires or vehicle accidents. Everyone once in a while they may get an unusual tree rescue call. This time it wasn’t a cute kitten they were saving.
According to SConFire.com, the City of Goose Creek Fire Department responded to Edmund Street for a man hanging 40 feet from the ground in a tree.
Units arrived to find a male in the tree unable to extricate himself.
For an unknown reason, the lift he was on lost hydraulic power and was unable to move.
Once firefighters arrived on scene, they safely got the man down. Medics evaluated the man and he is said to be doing okay.
No injuries were reported.
