MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–On the night of May 17th, members of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit assisted members of the Moncks Corner Police Department with a case on Weeping Cypress Drive.
Members of the Moncks Corner Police Department were investigating a domestic disturbance when they determined that a resident of the home may be involved in the trafficking of illegal narcotics.
After their investigation and serving a search warrant at the address, Antroy Levar Grant was arrested for Possession of a Weapon during a violent crime, Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime, trafficking in cocaine, 200 grams or more.
Seized during the investigation was 282 grams of a white, hard substance that field tested positive for cocaine base, one Taurus .380 pistol with two magazines, one 2002 Cadillac Escalade and a Yamaha 660 4-wheeler. The street value of the seized suspected cocaine is approximately $28,200.
“I wanted to thank the Moncks Corner Police Department for calling us and allowing us to help remove another convicted violent felon in possession of a gun and narcotics off the streets. Working together, we are making a difference in Berkeley County,” Sheriff Lewis stated.
