BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, 53-year-old Brett Williams of Moncks Corner, was traveling on highway 311 in Cross when his sedan ran off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees.
Salisbury stated that he was pinned in the vehicle and was extricated by the fire department.
Williams was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Salisbury.
His death was ruled accidental and he was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
