HANAHAN, S.C.–According to Hanahan Police, during the months of April and May, police reports were filed with the Hanahan Police Department regarding cars being broken into on Stonehenge Drive, Mabeline Road, Old Colony Drive, and Steward Street.
Chief Dennis Turner stated that after a lengthy investigation by the department’s criminal investigations division, Brian Alan Ahearn of Stinson Drive in Charleston has been arrested and criminal charges have been filed against him.
Ahearn has been charged with the following:
- Eight counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud.
- Three counts of Breaking into a Motor Vehicle.
- Two counts of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.
- Two counts of Financial Card Theft.
- One count of Financial Identity Theft.
Ahearn was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.
At this time, this investigation is still active and ongoing, Turner stated.
