GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Goose Creek City Administrator Dennis Harmon was honored this week for his nearly four decades of service with the City.
Above, Mayor Michael Heitzler (right) presents a 38-year Service Pin to Harmon at the beginning of the July 12 City Council meeting as several dozen attendees look on.
Harmon, who became city administrator in 1978, is retiring on Aug. 1.
The meeting was his final regular council meeting as city administrator.
A lifelong Berkeley County resident, Nikki Gaskins Campbell is an Emmy-nominated journalist with more than 20 years of experience covering news. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in broadcast journalism.
