BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, a fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with a recently deadly home invasion in Huger.
Deputies stated that Sherrod Deon Palmer was located in Virginia with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Chief Deputy Mike Cochran stated that he was armed with a firearm at the time of his apprehension.
“Further details will be released when they are available,” he stated. “We want to thank the many citizens who helped with locating Palmer.”
Kenneth Campbell, Jr., age 26, from Saint Stephen; Jacob Malachi Mouzon, age 17, from Bonneau; and Drake Edward Campbell, age 18 from Saint Stephen have already been arrested in connection with the deadly home invasion.
According to Cochran, around 2:30 a.m., a woman and man returned home to 135 Martha Lane in Huger last Thursday.
When they arrived, five individuals approached them and forced them inside of the residence where an altercation took place, Cochran stated.
At some point, 27-year-old Kadeem Johnson who lived at the residence, was shot and killed.
A fifth suspect has not yet been identified.
