BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–With school starting just around the corner, the Berkeley County School District plans to host a festival to generate excitement about the new school year, provide parents and guardians with useful information, and give away book bags stuffed with school supplies.
“We’ll have 3,000 book bags filled with supplies, so children will be able to receive one while supplies last,” stated Katie Orvin, the school district’s spokesperson. “Along with the book bags stuffed with school supplies, we also will have food trucks, jump castles, high school bands performing, cheerleaders and athletes, and a community resource fair.”
OneBerkeley Goes Back to School Festival scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex (located at 418 East Main St., Moncks Corner).
