BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, a standoff on Miami Street ended peacefully around 7 p.m.
Authorities say a man initially fled into a house before giving himself up to deputies.
Deputies along with the man’s relatives spoke with him on a loudspeaker before he agreed to turn himself, authorities stated.
Deputies say the man had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault.
The individual, who has not been identified, has been transported to the Berkeley County Detention Center for processing.
