GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday, several agencies responded to Blue & Gold, an auto salvage yard, on Howe Hall Road in Goose Creek for reports of a large fire.
Goose Creek Rural, Goose Creek City, Hanahan, Moncks Corner Rural, Pimplico and North Charleston Fire Departments along with other fire crews are currently helping to extinguish the flames. The Berkeley County Rescue Squad and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Officer are also on scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown but multiple vehicles behind the business are reportedly on fire.
Witnesses say they can see the heavy smoke miles away from the business.

“I have a friend that lives near there. She said you could feel/hear the explosion from inside her house,” stated Amanda Haas.
The business was closed at the time of the blaze. It doesn’t open again until Monday at 9 a.m.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
“Liberty Hall is blocked off. Traffic is being turned around before B & G,” posted Kat Seyle via social media.
