MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Great things continue to take place in Moncks Corner.
The Town of Moncks Corner celebrated National Farmers Market Week by breaking ground Thursday on its pavilion for the Moncks Corner Farmers Market.
Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler, Moncks Corner Mayor Michael Lockliear and other community leaders were on hand for the occasion.
The open air space will hold 16 market vendors and feature fans, bathrooms and a fire place.
Not only will it be used for the market, it will be a rental venue as well.
The 2016 Farmers Market is currently held every Thursday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM through December 15, 2016.
It showcases local produce, flavor and culture. It’s open to farmers, bakers, artists, craftsmen, food processors (i.e. preparers of jams, jellies, hot food concessions, etc.), and musicians.
