Firefighter Sent To Hospital After Battling Fire That Destroyed Hanahan House

HANAHAN, S.C.–A Hanahan firefighter was rushed to the hospital following a large house fire in Hanahan over the weekend.

On Saturday,  9-1-1 dispatchers received a call in reference to a two-story house on fire.

The Hanahan Fire Department along with Goose Creek Rural Fire Department responded to the house fire and found it fully involved upon arrival on Crossbill Trail.

Authorities stated that crews quickly began an offensive attack and protected the adjacent house. Crews were eventually able to extinguish the fire.

One firefighter was transported to the hospital due to heat exhaustion, officials stated.

No civilians were injured from the fire.
