BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are actively looking for three suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion and armed robbery in Goose Creek.
Chief Deputy Mike Cochran with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office says the incident was reported at a home on Elmora Avenue, near Red Bank Road Tuesday before 6 a.m.
Cochran says the three masked men entered the home and fired shots.
No other description of the men has been provided at this time.
Deputies have not said what was taken from the home, however, the family reportedly moved into the neighborhood recently.
Authorities do believe the home invasion was an isolated incident and this family may have been specifically targeted.
“We’re fairly certain that the suspects knew the victims, and so we’re working angles to try and figure out who they are,” Cochran said.
We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
