BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help locating Eddie Gaskins.
Gaskins has warrants for criminal domestic violence of a high & aggravated nature as well as burglary 1st degree, authorities stated.
“Eddie knows that we are looking for him and he usually is in the Macedonia, Jamestown, Huger or Bethera areas,” stated Chief Mike Cochran. “He drives a dark in color, older model Chevrolet S-10, regular cab.”
According to Cochran, on Thursday at 7:25 p.m. deputies responded to a complaint on Hootie Court in unincorporated Moncks Corner after a woman who resides at the incident location called 9-1-1.
Deputies stated Gaskins, who is the father of two of her children, showed up at her residence uninvited and unwelcome and entered the house.
After repeated attempts to get him to leave the house, deputies say the victim stated that Gaskins physically threatened her and grabbed her.
Deputies say Gaskins grabbed a pump action shotgun and threatened her with it, too.
Once the victim fled the scene, deputies say he entered the home and attempted to flood it by clogging a drain and leaving the water running on full.
If you see Gaskins or know his whereabouts, please call the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at 843-719-4412 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111. You can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
