BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–SLED along with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office are trying to figure out who spray painted the words “Kill Slager” on an old building located northeast of Jedburg in Berkeley County.
Authorities say the graffiti was first spotted Thursday near U.S. Highway 176 and Cooper Store Road.
The graffiti takes aim at former North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager. He is charged with the 2015 murder of 50-year–old Walter Scott.
Slager claims he shot and killed Scott after he reached for his taser. Cell phone video appears to show Scott merely fleeing the scene.
Some supporters of Slager argue that the video doesn’t show everything that led up to the shooting.
Slager’s trial is set to start on October 31st, 2016.
He’s represented by high-profile attorney Andy Savage.
