MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–The city of Goose Creek isn’t the only municipality considering a new logo. Moncks Corner leaders are looking to do the same. Recently, residents had the opportunity to choose from several town logos through an online survey.
“Right now, the town does not really have a logo. It has a seal,” stated Mayor Michael Lockliear. “A logo is about branding, and how we present Moncks Corner to the people and businesses outside our community in order to increase their interest in coming or investing here.”
According to the mayor, staff and consultants will review the answers from the survey and determine if the current logo options work or if they need improvements.
Lockliear says the town currently has no deadline as to when the new logo will go public.
“Timing is not as important as getting it right,” stressed Lockliear. “While we know there is no logo that everyone will like we will take whatever time need to make sure we end up with a logo that presents Moncks Corner’s brand effectively.”
Eventually, the mayor stated that the logo will appear in ads, publications, the town’s website and social media pages, town-issued vehicles as well as signage throughout town.
Moncks Corner officials are using Arnett Muldrow & Associates to help develop the town’s logo and branding.
