BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–If you are a criminal and in Berkeley County, you’d better be careful who you hang out with or they might just report you. Robert Lee Moore, 29, of Ladson can attest to this.

Deputies received a tip that Moore, who was wanted for receiving stolen goods, was located at an address on Atlanta Road in Ladson. When deputies investigated the tip they located Moore at the residence, hiding under a bed.

On top of the bed was an AR-15 style rifle with an obliterated serial number.

Once Moore was taken into custody, a search warrant was obtained for the residence. The search resulted in two additional stolen firearms being located along with a tablet computer.

Those were a Taurus P22 pistol that was stolen from a Berkeley County address and a shotgun was stolen from Florida. The AR-15 was stolen from North Charleston. The tablet computer was stolen from St. Louis, Missouri.

The detectives contacted DNR-Law Enforcement to assist with the 2 ½ foot alligator that was in an aquarium tank.

Moore was booked into the Hill Finklea Detention center on the existing warrants relating to stolen goods. Additional charges have been filed with more to follow for Moore’s activities. He is currently being held on 4 surety bonds totaling $52,125.
