BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Calling all youngsters age 9 – 18 who are interested in learning grilling techniques! SC 4-H has brought back an old favorite the 4-H Poultry BBQ Contest. A local workshop will be held on Sunday, April 2, from Noon to 4:00 pm at Santee Canal Park in Moncks Corner.
Youth will learn how to set up and use a charcoal grill while preparing chicken halves or turkey breast. The skills learned will prepare them for the SC 4-H BBQ Contest which will be held at the Sparkleberry Fair in Columbia on April 29.
Workshop pre-registration is required. The cost is $10 for 4-H members and $20 for non-members. The cost to enter the park is $2 per person.
