BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, a woman is recovering from her injuries after being shot in the neck on Interstate 26 near exit 199 in the Summerville area.
Deputies say the 20-year-old victim was luckily able to call her father who alerted police to her location.
Once there, deputies located a black 2013 Nissan Altima with dark tint that had been shot on the driver side by unknown person(s).
The young woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public regarding this incident.
