BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the burglary that occurred Monday night at Philip Simmons Elementary/Middle School.
After the burglary was discovered and the video was disseminated, deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office say they received multiple tips from the both citizens and law enforcement alike.
During the burglary, deputies say artwork was torn down, computer equipment was damaged and a
vending machine was knocked over.
Arrested at an address on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. in Mount Pleasant and charged with Burglary, 2nd Degree was 37-year-old Whitney Suzanne Burrows of Shadowmoss Parkway in Charleston.
She was transported to the Hill Finklea Detention Center to await a bond hearing Thursday at 9 a.m.
