GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The Goose Creek Police Department was called to the scene of two separate armed robberies recently that were believed to have possibly been committed by the same individual.
The first occurred at the Sunoco gas station located at 200 St. James Avenue on 07/30/2017 at approximately 11:40 P.M. During the robbery, police say an unknown black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and shorts, black and white tennis shoes, and a black mask entered the business armed with a knife and directed the employee to provide him with money from inside the cash register. Once it was handed to him, he fled towards Button Hall Avenue.
The second armed robbery was committed on 08/02/2017 at approximately 12:38 A.M. at the Speedway gas station, located at 509 N. Goose Creek Boulevard. Police say an unknown black male wearing a dark t-shirt, black pants, black and white tennis shoes, and a black toboggan style mask, entered the business armed with a knife and directed the employee to walk behind the cash register. The suspect demanded the money from inside the register and once it was handed to him, he fled on foot in the direction of Windsor Mill Road.
